Operator (day or night)

The position:

Under the supervision of the head of the department, you will work to manufacture, assemble, pack, clean and participate in the finishing of operable partitions. You will:

  • Operate a machine or carry out assembly in the production cell
  • Carry out various tasks relating to the manufacturing of operable partitions
  • Carry out simple to moderately complex work, using instructions and checklists
  • Read simple to moderately complex blueprints, as well as understand the product and its manufacturing methods
  • Ensure quality work
  • Be able to maintain a continuous pace of work
  • Carry out physical work that involves pulling, pushing and lifting different materials
  • Maintain the premises
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. (day) or Monday to Thursday 2:45 p.m. to 1:15 a.m. (evening) – 40 hrs/week
  • Type of position: Full time, permanent

The ideal candidate:

  • High school diploma (asset)
  • Basic mathematical skills (counting and measuring)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (asset)
  • Good manual and physical ability
  • Good team spirit, observation skills and ability to memorize
  • Initiative
  • Adaptable to different departments and work methods
  • Dynamic, punctual, resourceful and a good communicator
  • Detail-oriented and attentive to the quality of the product

  • Salary: $15.00 to $20.41 per hour
  • $2.50/h bonus from May 25 to August 28 (for 40h/week on site)
